Call Committee Update – Search for the Campus Family & Youth Pastor
As we move forward with Trinity’s long-range plan to bring more children on campus with our building campaign, your Call Committee is about half way through the process of selecting a Campus Family & Youth Pastor. With the help of our FL-GA District President, Rev. Greg Walton and the nominations from the Trinity Congregation, the Call Committee was presented with nine candidates for our new position. Since January, the Committee has been diligently poring over personal information, statistics, and other data on each of our candidates. In the next few weeks the process will be ramped up to include telephone interviews and ultimately personal visits by a “short list” of the nine candidates.

Helping the Call Committee during each milestone of this process is our Regional VP, Pastor Brian Kneser of Woodlands Lutheran Church in Montverde. Once the Call Committee has completed its evaluations, we will hold a Call Meeting of the Voter’s Assembly. At this meeting, all nine candidates will be presented to the congregation, with two or three recommendations from the Call Committee noted among them. The final selection will be determined by a majority vote of those in attendance.

The entire Call Committee, along with President Walton and Pastor Kneser, are devoting many hours of contemplation and thoughtful prayer to this process. We welcome any questions you may have during this stage of the selection.

Your Call Committee,
Pastor Moore
Rocky Smothers
Mike Kunze
Bruce Hahn
Heidi Foster
Dave Tesch
Stephanie Landis

Walk on March 8 for Type 1 Diabetes

There are many people who are unaware of that Type 1Diabetes (T1D) is a serious autoimmune disease that only afflicts children from birth through early twenties. It strikes suddenly and is unrelated to diet or lifestyle. In our Trinity School, we currently have five students diagnosed with this disease.  Every day these children must test their blood sugar four to five times and account (actually count carbohydrates) in everything they consume.  What this means is the children (or caregivers) manually work for the pancreas because it isn’t working at all. In T1D, a person's pancreas stops producing insulin, which is essential to the body’s ability to get energy from food.  There is no cure for T1D.  The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) strives to achieve the goal of our world without T1D.  You can be part of the effort to improve the lives of millions of people affected by T1D by donating at http://www.walk.jdrf.org   Orlando/UCG  Walk Team Blue Thunder.  For more information contact Jamie Erpenbach at fiveerps@gmail.com or 407-730-7368

Building Update-Fence Enclosure
As many of you have noticed, Bill and John have been working tirelessly to get the entire property secure. A temporary fence is due to be put up by our General Contractor Doster, but we didn’t want to wait for them to put that up and slow down the house movers. Maintenance, with the help of Ed Sabin, Bob Phinney and Mike Kunze, were able to secure the area between the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. We have reused all of the fencing in order to save on cost and time. As of today, the field has had a new fence installed with gate. If you get a chance, please THANK BILL AND JOHN for their dedication to securing the campus so quickly!

Building Update-House Movers
Last week, I said the house movers were going to drop off equipment. Instead, they demolitioned two porches, raised up the red house and cleared out several trees and pushed. Power, water and gas were disconnected and we began this project sprinting!!! Next week, we plan to start seeing some of the additional prep of the area and hopefully begin to see the red house move. I will keep you all updated as to when that actually happens.

Magnolia Building-Traffic Flow/Parking
We will be changing the traffic flow into the Magnolia Building by March 9th now. Please pay careful attention to the new signage that will be installed in the coming weeks in that area. Several changes have already begun.
• Ruth Lane Parking lot is CLOSED.
• THE AMELIA EXIT IS AND WILL REMAIN EXIT ONLY. Please, do not come onto the property      through the Amelia Driveway.
• There are two ways onto the property, Livingston and Magnolia.
• There will be one way off property, Amelia.

It's All About Sharing the Word of God

Wow!  So much has been going on this week I don’t even know where to begin.  Many of you showed up to help move our classrooms over to the Magnolia building on Saturday.  Most of it was accomplished by noon and the children moved into their new classrooms on Monday morning.   On Tuesday the children got to witness the houses being jacked up and porches being ripped off.  It is getting pretty exciting!  After so many years of dreaming and planning it is all becoming a reality.  Thank you all for your continued support and love for children.  Right now we are sharing the Word of God with 217 children and it is a great feeling!  We would not be where we are without your kindness and generosity.
