Easter Season is upon us!  FINALLY!

It seems like we have been preparing for Easter since before Christmas…because we have!  The seasons of the church year are set up to guide us from Advent to Pentecost.  Let’s do some Trinity reviewing:

During Advent & Christmas our worship series was titled “According to (whose?) plan” – a time to reflect on the difficulties and struggles surrounding the birth of Jesus.  We also spent time thinking on our own life plans and how ultimately its God’s plan for us that we should seek.

Then we entered the Epiphany season and the service series progression: “Jesus Is” – “Jesus Said” – “Jesus Wow!”  Now that Jesus was born, it was time to learn about this very special and holy man.  Who was He?  What had He come to teach us?  Was He really the Son of God?

After learning about Jesus, we watch Him walk to Calvary for us during the Lent season, which just ended.  In lent we had two sermon series working together.  On Sundays we watched and learned about Jesus “On the Road to Calvary.”  On Wednesdays we learned about the perfect love our Father in heaven has for us that would cause Him to sacrifice His Son for us – “What Wondrous Love.”

That brings us to today!  Alleluia!  He’s Risen!!  HE has defeated death, the grave, even Satan himself!

… now what?

We will explore this important question over the next few weeks as Jesus appears to various folks those 40 days after Easter.  What does it mean that Jesus is alive?  How do we respond?  What have we learned?  What should we do?

Join us these next five weeks during the Easter Season and explore what Easter means for you.  Have a blessed and wonderful Easter! He is risen!  He is risen indeed!  Alleluia!
