Weekend Worship
We will recognize both All Saints Day and Orphan Sunday.
Next weekend we will recognize Veterans Day.

Adoption and Foster Care Team
Our AFC (Adoption and Foster Care) Team is excited to offer you another opportunity to help out vulnerable children, and those who are taking care of them.  Trinity Downtown is collecting new stuffed animals (to comfort the children during their transitions and their court dates) and gift cards to Target, Wal-Mart, Amazon, or just Visa gift cards (to help the families taking care of the foster children). We will have a bin in the Church narthex through November 4, when we will recognize Orphan Sunday during all worship services.  We invite you to join us in worship, as we learn more about children who are so close to God's heart!

If you're interested in learning more about adoption, join us, with Dave Wooten from Lifeline Children's Services, for an adoption information meeting at 12:15pm Sunday, November 4 (Loggia 2 classroom).  Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Finally, for those who are interested in supporting families who foster or adopt, (but cannot do so themselves) we will have a meeting on Wednesday, November 7, at 6:30 pm (Loggia 2 Classroom).  We will be learning about "wrap-around care," and have some awesome ideas to share with you!  Light refreshments will be provided. Thank you for your support!

"He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing." Deuteronomy 10:18

Trinity Shares Christmas - the Tree is Up!
Our annual tradition of sharing Christmas is in its 13th year, and we are once again partnering with Angel Tree Prison Ministries. The recipients of TSC are children, along with their caretakers, who have a parent in prison; the objective is to maintain - or establish - a connection between the parent and his/her children. The ornaments on the tree contain food, gift, and donation requests. If you would like to participate,
  • please take one or more ornaments,
  • put your name and the ornament code on the pad provided on the shelf, and
  • return the requested items to the narthex no later than November 25.
  • Gifts should not be wrapped
If you have any questions about the program, please contact Glenda at whitemice@bellsouth.net.

Make A More Joyful Noise! Reformation was, well, JOYFUL!
Several members of the congregation joined the choir for both the 8:00 and 11:00 Reformation services Sunday to share the powerful message that "God is our refuge and strength. A present help in time of trouble. Therefore, we will not fear!" In addition, the Trinity bells, timpani and brass also played for the 11:00 service. It was a beautiful morning with special music to help celebrate Reformation.

Special thanks to those that joined the choir for Make A More Joyful Noise! Reformation: Dave Wilkosz, Gail Wilkosz, Stephanie Landis, Jen Castillo, Tracy Brown, Mary Lou Evanchyk, Celia Schroeder and Gladys Dittmer. There will always be a seat available for each and every one of you any time you'd like to join us. And for anyone else that would like to join the music ministry at Trinity. All are welcomed!

Thanksgiving Bread
Bread bakers are needed for our traditional Thanksgiving mini-loaves that are baked by members, blessed on the Altar during Thanksgiving Eve worship, and sent home with families for their Thanksgiving meals.  Requires baking at home, wrapped and tied, and returning individually wrapped loaves to Trinity on afternoon of Nov 22 by 2pm. Come, Ye Thankful People, Come!
It's our traditional Trinity congregation Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday, November 18 at 12:15pm. Trinity's Food Service Manager, Rich Poole, will prepare his succulent turkey and dressing. We will return to our potluck style of sharing for the other items on the menu. Members whose last names begin with A-J please bring a salad or potato dish, K-S please bring a vegetable dish, T-Z please bring a favorite dessert.  Please plan for a dish that serves 10-12 people. Dust off your old Trinity cookbook to find a treasured recipe from the past, prepare another of your favorites, or stop by Publix if you're not into cooking. It will be a great time of fellowship, dining perhaps with friends who attend other worship services and you haven't seen for awhile. Bring your family and friends and an attitude of gratitude.

Please let us know!
Please let your Trinity family know of any scheduled surgery or hospital stay.  In addition to scheduled procedures, please give the church office a call to let us know about extended illness, unplanned hospital stays, or even the birth of a child.  You can call the office at any time and leave a message-no need to wait until business hours (407-488-1919 x101). During business hours, that information can then be forwarded to the appropriate caregivers. For an emergency that requires the care of a Pastor after hours or over the weekend call or text us at 407-490-7339 and leave a message. We'll get back to you ASAP. We want to be sure to know when you need us-whether to pray with you before a scheduled procedure, sit with you during a loved one's procedure, pray for you while you recover, visit you in the hospital/at home or to share praise and thanksgiving prayers for good news/results. Just let us know.  Thank you.

Urgent Prayer Requests
If you have an urgent prayer request that can't wait until you fill out a yellow prayer card during worship, please submit it via email to Pray@TrinityDowntown.com .  While submitting a yellow card during worship is still the preferred way to share prayer requests, sometimes a prayer need can't wait until Sunday.  Your prayer request (first name and basic details of the prayer requested) will be shared with a team of committed weekday prayer warriors and will also be added to Trinity's regular printed prayer list for the congregation.  All prayers are kept on the printed list for a period of three weeks, so please resubmit long term prayer needs regularly so that they stay on the printed list. Thank you.
