Youth Giving Back!
Trinity family! Thank you for giving and helping our youth meet their fundraising goals!  You gave GENEROUSLY - now let the youth GIVE to you! FREE CAR WASH this Sunday 9:00-12:00. That's right! Free! Come let the youth wash your car. Watch for signs and directions on Sunday morning.

Annual Stewardship Drive
Well, the month of May is over, that means our annual Stewardship drive is coming to an end.  Trinity is very thankful for the many pledges we have received from members who are cheerfully sharing the bounties they have received from the Lord.  To date we have received 69 pledges, including 19 new pledges (people making pledges for the first time -Thank you!), totaling $468,014.00. Since we average more than 300 individual worshipers each month there are still many of you out there who have not yet returned a pledge card.  I have good news, it is not too late. You can pick up a pledge card in the Narthex this weekend and put it in the plate.

As we tried to emphasize over the past four weeks, making a pledge is not the same as signing a contract to pay a certain amount each week.  If your situation changes during the year you can easily adjust how much you contribute each Sunday, or even cancel your pledge in its entirety if necessary.  No one is being judged by how much they do or do not give to Trinity. Your pledge is a confidential agreement between you and God.  The sole purpose of returning a pledge card is to give Trinity a good estimate of the funds that will be available July 1st, when we begin our new fiscal year, to carry out our mission to spread the Word throughout the downtown Orlando area and around the world.

If anyone feels that their financial situation is in a state of transition that won't allow them to pledge at this time, we understand.  Anything you are able to cheerfully give will be gratefully received.

Pastor Kallesen and I are both available to discuss any concerns you might have with the pledge process.  All you have to do is contact the church office and one of us will get back to you as soon as we can. (407-488-1919 x101 or TLC@TrinityDowntown.com)

Thanks to everyone who contributes to Trinity.
Together we can do great things!
-Tom Finger, Senior Elder

VBS Generosity
The Trinity family has been extraordinarily generous in their response to our baobab tree list of supplies needed for our upcoming ROAR Vacation Bible School on June 17-21. Sand pails and sand, rocks and crackers, rope and paper, Kool Whip and canned fruit, gift cards to purchase fresh fruit, yogurt, and ice for each day! One member donated funds to purchase safari hats for every child attending! You are all simply amazing and the children are about to be so richly blessed through your kindness and selfless giving. Thank you to you all from my heart and theirs!  -Julia Malenke

Former Member News

Dan Hill: Daniel Allen Hill, beloved son of Richard and the late Marilyn Hill, died on Sunday, May 26 of an apparent heart attack at the age of 60. He is survived by his father, sisters Marie Gerlach and Julie Hill, and nieces and nephews Helen, Mary, Michael, and David. Dan had a difficult life, overcoming kidney disease as a child only to suffer a spinal cord injury as a young man. Despite that, he obtained college and vocational degrees, and lived and worked in the Orlando area for many years. When health issues prevented independent living, he returned to Brevard to be nearer family. Those of us who knew him here at Trinity knew he had a great love of sports and politics. He loved to share stories and debate current issues.  His memorial service was at Beach Funeral Home in IHB, today. Please keep Dan's family and friends in your prayers.

Jeff & Lisa Moore: Jeff Moore once served as Senior Pastor to Trinity and Lisa served as our Minister of Music. They are well loved and missed as former members of our Trinity family.  Lisa's father went to be with Jesus this past week, and Lisa's Mom passed away almost exactly a year ago. Pastor Moore also lost his Mom this past December. It's been a challenging year for the Moore family. Please send up some extra prayers for Pastor Moore and Lisa!  Thank you.

Food & Funds on the Fifth
On Fifth Sundays we stock up on pantry goods to donate to a local food pantry and replenish the Pastoral Discretionary Fund which helps people in an Urgent Financial Crisis. The month of June has five Sundays, so start stockpiling those BOGO deals and re-organize your cabinets.  Collection will take place on the weekend of June 30.

Please let us know!
Please let your Trinity family know of any scheduled surgery or hospital stay.  In addition to scheduled procedures, please give the church office a call to let us know about extended illness, unplanned hospital stays, or even the birth of a child.  You can call the office at any time and leave a message-no need to wait until business hours (407-488-1919 x101). During business hours, that information can then be forwarded to the appropriate caregivers.  For an emergency that requires the care of a Pastor after hours or over the weekend call or text us at 407-490-7339 and leave a message. We'll get back to you ASAP. We want to be sure to know when you need us-whether to pray with you before a scheduled procedure, sit with you during a loved one's procedure, pray for you while you recover, visit you in the hospital/at home or to share praise and thanksgiving prayers for good news/results. Just let us know.  Thank you.

Urgent Prayer Requests
If you have an urgent prayer request that can't wait until you fill out a yellow prayer card during worship, please submit it via email to Pray@TrinityDowntown.com .  While submitting a yellow card during worship is still the preferred way to share prayer requests, sometimes a prayer need can't wait until Sunday.  Your prayer request (first name and basic details of the prayer requested) will be shared with a team of committed weekday prayer warriors and will also be added to Trinity's regular printed prayer list for the congregation.  All prayers are kept on the printed list for a period of three weeks, so please resubmit long term prayer needs regularly so that they stay on the printed list. Thank you.
