Ladies Bunco Night

Ladies of Trinity, come get together with old friends, make new friends, at our monthly Bunco, July 10.  It is at 6:30 p.m. upstairs in the Magnolia Building.  We have a snack, sometimes bring a gift for a prize or something to donate to a worthwhile cause like BETA, etc., but we always have fun and fellowship, share lives, pray for each other, and just become friends.  If your birthday is on an even date, bring a white elephant gift for a prize; and if your birthday is an uneven date bring food or drink.  If you have any questions call Elizabeth Cohen at 408-833-3060.  Looking forward to sharing a great evening  together.

Trinity Lutheran School K-8 Update

The Principal Call Committee and Teacher Recruitment Committee are meeting at least weekly and have considered 14 candidates to date. We have conducted preliminary interviews with five, mostly locals. This week we have posted the teaching positions and expanded our search. For the Principal position, the Call Committee is working with the LCMS Fl/Ga District Office for referrals from its Interim Principal list.

Please continue to to pray for God's guidance as we continue this process.

Thank you,

Kathy Aber, School Board Chair

Volunteer Opportunities

Feed the Need

Feed the Need is a Servant Event and fundraiser.  We seek donations from family and friends to support it.  A percentage of the funds raised is used to purchase food that will be packaged by the TLS students and sent to missionaries in Haiti to distribute.   The other percentage of the funds raised then come back to Trinity as a fundraiser.  For us to successfully complete this Servant Event and fundraiser, we need a committee of about 6 people.  The committee will be trained and walked through the event by coordinators from the Champion Events Group.  The committee needed should  get started on this training in the next few weeks.  Attached are some videos from the organization so that you can learn more about the event.  I think it is a great opportunity for our students to assist others, share God’s love, and “Grow Together” in their faith.  If you are willing to help, please contact the school office at 407-488-1919.  Thank you!

Touch a Truck

One of our largest Trinity events, Touch a Truck, is only a few short months away.  This event has become very popular in our community and has continued to grow over the last few years.  We would like this to continue and need your help!   CDC parent Tess Tourelle has taken on the lead chair role for planning this event.  There are 3 other parents who have volunteered to serve on this committee as well.  However, 5 more parents are needed to assist with planning this event.  We have split the duties to make them very manageable for any volunteer.  Please take a look at the list below and email Tess if you are able to help at tesstourelle@aol.com.

  • Trucks Chair: responsibilities include contacting various companies and asking them to bring a truck, coordinating with drivers the day of
  • Marketing and Social Media Chair: responsibilities include advertising the event in our community and on social media
  • Sales and Entertainment Chair: responsibilities include finding vendors and additional entertainment for the event
  • Food Chair: Responsibilities include contacting a particular vendor to sell food the day of the event
  • Finance Chair: Responsibilities include tracking the event budget, making purchases, and helping with sales the day of the event

If you have any questions, you can also contact the School Office.  Thank you.
