Baby Bottles for Redeeming Life Maternity Home

Did you forget to bring your filled bottle back?  No worries!  Returns are accepted through the end of June.  We want to give Redeeming Life Maternity the best possible taste of Trinity’s support for this ministry.  Your giving will make a tremendous difference for women who are pregnant under difficult circumstances.  When a woman faces negative stares, is stung by cruel and hurtful words, and feels the piercing stab of rejection, your pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters mean she will have a home filled with forgiveness and unconditional Christian love.  Return your bottle to the box located in the narthex.  There are informational brochures available for you to pick up and share with friends, relatives, and neighbors.  Questions or comments?  Deaconess Liz: 407-488-1919 X 127 or eborth@trinitydowntown.org

Feed Others from your Bounty

NEXT weekend, June 28 and June 29 is our regular Food on the Fifth collection.   If you are interested in contributing to this food drive, but can’t make it to the Trinity weekend worship services, the grocery basket will be “parked” in the school office all week long, June 23-June 27.  This month’s collection will benefit the children of metropolitan Orlando who may miss the nutritional school lunch because school is not in session.  Let’s fill the grocery basket Lake Eola Publix donated for our use three times!  Questions or comments?  Contact Deaconess Liz: 407-488-1919 X127 or eborth@trinitydowntown.org.

Voters Meeting June 29th

LWML Deadline Approaching To Save Money

The weekend of September 26-28, 2014, the convention will be held in Jacksonville.  In less than 3 hours you can travel to the Wyndham Jacksonville Riverwalk hotel.   TIME IS RUNNING SHORT for you to take advantage of early bird registration.  Deadline is June 30.

Jamie Erpenbach and Diann Grover will represent the Trinity women as Voting Delegates to this District Convention.  Susan Roby is our Alternate Delegate.  In even years - and 2014 is an even year - the LWML women of the Florida-Georgia District convene to conduct business, enjoy Bible study, serve through mission projects, and stay up late laughing and eating snacks.

Look for the purple EVANGEL newsletters on the LWML table in the rear east narthex (the side with the chairs, busy bags, and giant mite box) for more detailed information, or contact Deaconess Liz: eborth@trinitydowntown.org or Mary Lou Evanchyk: 407-275-8096

Sunday Summer Stock!

Begins June 29, during the 9:30am Sunday School Hour for Grades 5 through 12, meeting in the 7th grade classroom of the school building.  “Making Parables Pop!”  Join us as we jump into the parables Jesus told and make them pop through interactive chapel drama.  Questions?  Contact Jamie Erpenbach  jamieerp@gmail.com

Is it Junque’ or Junk or Stuff or Tag Sale or Yard Sale or Rummage Sale?

Whatever you call it, it means bargains!  Trinity Women are holding a super Second-Hand Good Stuff sale on Saturday July 12, 2014.  The items available for you to purchase come from the households of your friends and family of Trinity.  You can’t go wrong when those who care are willing to donate and share.  Save your stuff until we have a date to bring it to the Christian Life Center (gym) for sorting and set up.  Be sure to mark your calendar for a morning and afternoon of treasure hunting.  All proceeds will help with scholarships for women of our congregation and their friends to attend the Strength For The Journey retreat in October.  Contact Julia for more details: jmalenke@trinitydowntown.org.

Jewels and Pocketbooks

Many LWML groups throughout the U.S.share terrific ideas to raise mission funds.  This one is a great match for our Sale on Saturday, July 12, 2014.  Look through your collections and find  good, gently used, (or maybe never used) purses and nice jewelry pieces and bring them to church anytime beginning NOW.  Deaconess Liz will collect them for a special sale booth at the Trinity second-hand sale that day.  BUT….the collection continues past July 12.  We will use every opportunity to sell the items since the proceeds for the scholarship fund of the Strength For The Journey retreat in October.  Contact Deaconess Liz for more details: eborth@trinitydowntown.org or 407-488-1919 X 127.
