Celebrating New Life
Redeeming Life Maternity Home is located in Sanford Florida. It is one of only two uniquely Lutheran maternity homes in the United States. Did you read that? ONE of only TWO in the ENTIRE United States! This is a Christ-centered home built and designed to serve single pregnant and post-partum women who lack loving and caring family support. Trinity will show support for this valued ministry with a change and cash collection using baby bottles. You take home an empty baby bottle and fill it with change, bills, or checks. Such an easy way to make it possible for women to hear about and experience the love of God that is ours in Christ Jesus. Look for the bottles on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014. The collection continues through Father’s Day, June15. Questions or comments? Deaconess Liz: eborth@trinitydowntown.org

Middle School Trip to Driftwood Education Center
Please keep our TLS Middle School students in your prayers this week as they travel to GA for a week long educational adventure! Each year our middle school students go on a week long educational and fun filled class trip. This year our students are traveling to Driftwood Education Center in Georgia. At Driftwood, teachers and students step out of their normal roles and see each other in a different perspective. As students live together for a few days, they share cabin space and exciting adventures. This allows them to develop a sense of community between each other. And for students it allows them to see their teachers in a different light. By eating together, singing together at the campfires and helping each other learn, students will be able to see their teacher as a normal, everyday person as well as a role model. The bond that is made between student and teacher will last far beyond the end of the school year! We look forward to hearing all about their great adventures when they return. And their dirty clothes from tug-o-war over a mud pit? Best for them to go straight the garbage can! Click Here for more information about the Driftwood Program
